Unheard Amritsar

The field record

People, place, and practice behind the recordings.

Local mastery deserves a durable record.

Amritsar's traditional players carry knowledge through performance, memory, and community practice. Much of that work remains difficult to discover online and can enter digital circulation without complete attribution or rights information.

Unheard Amritsar records and documents performances, prepares accurate metadata, registers releases through IPRS pathways, and publishes recordings and sample packs. Student volunteers are trained in basic publishing and royalty practice so the work can continue beyond a single release.
