Privacy notice
This notice explains how the Unheard Amritsar website handles recording submissions and information. It also explains how project correspondence and artist records are handled.
Information collected through this website
The song submission form collects a recording title, type, instrument or role, audio file or recording link, preferred credit, contact name and email address, and your permission confirmations. Phone number, other contributor names and context are optional. These details are saved in the project’s Neon database for review and follow-up. They are not automatically published or added to a marketing list. If you choose a link, the audio remains with your chosen hosting service. If you upload a file, Neon stores the audio in a private file bucket. The backend verifies the saved recording before confirming receipt. Project administrators can access it for review; the submission is not made public. Short-lived file access links may be issued for authorized review. Do not include identity documents or other sensitive personal information in uploaded files. Do not include other people’s private contact details. This site has no visitor account system, advertising tracker or added analytics. The submission flow stores no draft in cookies or browser storage; unsent entries are cleared when the tab is reloaded or closed. If you use an email link, your email provider sends your address and message to the project contact.
Project correspondence
Information sent by email or the submission form is used to respond to enquiries, review recordings, discuss possible documentation work, arrange meetings, or manage an existing project relationship. It is not sold or rented.
Artist identity and consent records
Recording, attribution, anonymity, payment, and registration details are handled through separate project documents. An artist may request anonymous public credit while allowing private identity details to be retained for payment and rights registration. A written request can be used to update or revoke consent according to the applicable agreement.
Photographs and public documentation
Images on this website come from the project evidence record and public outreach. A person shown in project documentation can request a correction or removal review by contacting the project email.
Retention and security
Correspondence and project records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the project purpose, rights administration, payment, record keeping, or a legal obligation. Reasonable steps are used to limit access, but no email or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
External links
Vercel hosts this website. Neon processes submission details and stores direct audio uploads on behalf of the project. The backend uses a one-way hash of a network address to limit repeated requests; it does not store the raw address in submission records. Hosting services may retain their own operational and security logs. Recording links may use Google Drive, Dropbox, SoundCloud or another service; those services retain the recording and control access according to their terms and your sharing choices. Existing pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives a request from your browser when those pages load. The submission page uses system fonts. External services apply their own privacy practices; Unheard Amritsar does not control those services.
Your choices and deletion requests
You may request access, correction, or deletion review for information you provided. Email the project with the subject “Submission deletion request” and your submission reference, or the email address used for the submission. The project can use these details to locate your record and any uploaded attachment; do not email identity documents. Deletion requests cover the submission record and its stored audio file. A short-lived access link that was already issued may work until it expires, and a person who downloaded a copy may still hold that copy. The project will also review earlier submissions retained in the previous Netlify Forms inbox when a request concerns those records. Some records may need to be retained for rights, payment, legal, or project integrity purposes. Contact aarushsinghm@gmail.com.
Changes to this notice
The notice may be revised when the website or project process changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
Age eligibility
The online submission form is for people aged 18 or older. A parent or guardian should contact the project before an under-18 musician shares personal details or recording materials.
