The Project
Amritsar's traditional instrument players — performers at the Golden Temple and beyond — have played these sounds for generations. Yet most of the world has never heard them. Unheard Amritsar is fixing that, one release at a time.
The Instruments
These instruments were documented in a survey of 50 industry professionals across Punjab, Chandigarh and Mumbai. Only one person had deep knowledge of them. That awareness gap is the problem we are solving.

The Process
A low-friction, consent-based system built specifically for musicians who have never been part of the digital economy.
Musicians decide what they publish, when, and under what name. Anonymous releases are available for those navigating institutional restrictions. Full control, always.
We coordinate recordings — live sessions, performances, or studio recordings. Student volunteers trained in digital distribution handle the technical side.
Every release is registered with the Indian Performing Right Society, establishing formal ownership and enabling ongoing royalty tracking for performances and streams.
₹100 Total CostMusic goes live on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming platforms. Artists receive 100% of earnings directly. We help with cover art, metadata, and discoverability.
Sample packs of rare instruments are sold to modern producers — directly bridging traditional sound with contemporary music production on a global scale.
